Thanks folks.
Not sure what his intent was.

Need to bring batteries next chance.

No they are not autozone vents. They are actually for boats to vent the engine compartment. I looked a long time for them till I found a set in the size I thought would look good. They are bolt on and functional.
Surprisingly enough with the low speed cooling fan on you can hold your hand a good 7 inches above them and feel the heat pouring out under pressure.
I need to close them off and do a IAT datalog and then again with them open to see what difference they actually make. My actual intent was just to relieve the pressure and prevent the flying hood syndrome. But hey two birds right.
Another plus is since they are angled they may become an auxiliary defrost. LOL

Well did a datalog tonight and here are the results of the vents.
I took the car fully warmed up and closed off the vents. Drove from point A to B with a steady long run of 40mph.
Then opened the vents and drove from point B to A at the steady 40 mph long run.
Average overall run there was a 1.6 degree difference in the IAT's.
On the 40mph stable run there was a 2 degree difference in IAT's.

Ambient temp during the run was 77 degrees (via the net).
Inferred Ambient avg from the datalog was 78.389 closed, and 76.182 open.
So they do help the IAT a little.
Nothing to brag about though.
They were put on for pressure relief and they do do that.

For what its worth.

Well first, we need better pics of the vents. The angles here suck for that. Up close and overhead, please. Second, the idea is fine, but in my view, they need to be slimmer in height, metal and chromed, like on old Chevelles, Camaros.

As requested. Didn't have any Overhead but you can see the rise and openings.
