So I ended up breaking a valve spring and figured since the valve covers had to come off, why not paint em. I did some research all over this forum to find a style I liked. Lots of good looking ones but I wanted something different and original so this is what I came up with.
I used etching primer, wrinkle black (which took a week to cure only cause I was waiting on parts), then silver caliper paint. My buddy cut me some vinyl letter which was laid down on top of the wrinkle black and then painted silver. Once the vinyl was removed this is what it came out to be. After a few weeks paint is still holding up pretty good. Hope you all enjoy
Broken valve spring
Freshly pulled
Slightly sanded
Added etching primer
Added wrinkle finish
Added the vinyl lettering
Painted with silver caliper paint
Vinyl removed
And installed.
