I was wondering the power curve diff between your guys setup and mine, then I noticed the stock intake still.

I bet with a boss intake the car would be close to 1100!!!!

Interesting HP results from a supercharger that free flows 1450 CFM. There are many calculators that will convert CFM into max HP potential. However, I believe that converting CFM to lbs per minute is more accurate.

D1SC free flows 1400 CFM

Novi 2200 free flows 1450 CFM

P(psia) x V(cu.ft./min) x 29
(10.73 x T(deg R)

This formula tells me that the Novi 2200 will support up to 922 flywheel HP. However, Paxton claims 1000 flywheel is possible in a perfect world.

Conventional CFM to HP compressor map calculators suggest that 966 flywheel is possible.

I'm certainly not suggesting that they fudged the numbers. However, I would like more info on how they achieved over 1200 at the flywheel with the 2200 Paxton.

Mine is currently making 960 rwhp, that is on the 6 rib through the auto trans, with a larger pulley 2.95. JT trim, very similar to the 2200, just the Vortech name plate.

I found it interesting too, that the blower is rated for 1000 crank. I'm guessing with the 8 rib and a 2.75 we should be able to crack 1000 rwhp as well.

These blowers are just nasty. Paxton & Vortech, definately the best bang for the buck

Out of curiosity what are you using for a crank pulley? My 2200 with 2.95 blower and 10% crank pulley is spinning roughly 63000 rpm (which is max reccomended) at 7200 engine rpm and I only see 21 psi with BB 302, ported heads, and cams. I would think that you would have to significantly over spin the blower to reach the HP levels both you and the JPC car are making, in any case both are very impressive.

I am running the stock crank pulley, which i believe is 6.75. We did the math just the other day and came up with around 63000, with the 2.75 we'll put on, should be around 66000. These #'s are figuring 7400 rpms.

The 5.0's, just make more power. with the 2.95 I am seeing right around 20 pounds of boost, so if your 10% o/d 21 or so sounds right.

In all honesty, you want to overspin these things some. IMHO. Max rpm is 60000, however, How long are you at that RPM, everyone i've ever dealt with on these things, Ricky Best, Brian Mitchell. They say to spin the pi$$ out of them.

By overspinning them a bit up top, you are getting them in their efficiency range sooner, and make more power. I think you are at the right pulley / boost setup. You just need a Coyote now! ;)

It takes power to drive a SC, be it Centri, Roots, or Twin Screw.. a TC runs off the exhaust gases, so it's almost free gains.
