possible suggestion

I am on a the diesel garage as a member and they have a button on the the individual threads to say thank you to another member. Would something like that be possible to put in here? I know that there are a lot of hard asses in here but something simple like saying thanks goes a long ways.

You can always use the reputation feature to "rep" a good post. Seems like not too many people use it on this site.
