Thats right the wait is over! Saleen has finally let us know that they are ready to start taking orders on their Heat Exchanger upgrade! This kit comes on the 2008 Saleen Extreme S302 Mustangs. In testing at Saleen they noticed temperature differences of nearly 40 degrees under extreme heat soak conditions. This can mean up to 40 HP while at these higher temps! Everyone knows that after you drive your car around for a while and get it up to operating temperature, especially on a warm day, that the power band will drop and a noticeable difference in power is felt. The exact opposite, on a cool day your going to see much lower supercharger coolant temperatures and make more power! The idea of the Updgrade kit is to keep you from those heat soak conditions and giving your supercharged mustang that monsterous power band all the time!

The Heat exchanger upgrade kit comes complete with a Heat exchanger that is 58% larger than the stock unit!! This is over twice the size of your factory heat exchanger allowing more air to pass through and cool the superchargers fluid. Not only is the size of the heat exchanger improved but Saleen has also added dual cooling fans! These fans are great for in tracffic and quick cool down situations. They are not too big so they don't cover enough surface of the heat exchanger to block air from flowing through when you have a clear path for air flow. This larger, more efficient unit, with dual cooling fans is only part of the reason why this upgrade kick is so great.

To help move more coolant through this massive heat exchange Saleen has also included an upgraded intercooler pump! This pump is a varialbe speed water pump that is preprogrammed by Saleen. Its actually able to increase or decrease the voltage to change the speed of the pump! EMP is the manufacturer and with a simple download software and cable you can program the pump to flow at whatever rate you want!! Im waiting on exact specs from Saleen on where they set their pumps when they leave the factory, all was able to find out was that it is at a much higher volume rate than the Bosch pump supplied with the standard kit! The ability of this pump to flow more fluid and move it quicker through the system means your going to increase your chances of keeping your car at a much lower coolant temperature!

So does the new pump replace the old (very poorly located) one with the (very poorly located) wiring harness connector?

Herk has depth perception problems...keeps parking on top of curbs. Hmmmm, and he's the one that tells the Pilot where to go.

The electrical connection on the bottom of the pump has been... touched... a few times. Right now it is sorta duck-taped in place... doesn't work the greatest, thats for sure.
