Scratches on Rocker Panel.

Well I was visiting my aunt and the city had put in a new man hole cover which sticks out of her drive away. Needless to say I scratched my rocker panel on it. The scratches are to deep to buff out. Until I can find a good price one a used one I was just going to use some touch up paint. What is the best way going about repairing this with touch up paint or there another solution? I can put up some cell phone pics if anyone wants to see tomorrow just let me know.

Probably made out of TPO or Polypro material so you will probably need to use an adhesive primer before painting or your paint will not stick.
