Damn why didnt I think of that.
Better have kimmer delete those posts so there is no "paper trail"...

As for buying the engine - I'd ask a very simple question I ask myself anytime I stumble upon a "deal"...

Would I have bought this anyway and this is just a one-time good price? Or am I buying it because it fell on my lap and seems "too good to refuse"...

If you would have done it anyway - then go for it - otherwise - ask why you had not already considered this option?

Buy them both, the ST to go in now, the MMR for a back-up. Think of it as an "uptime" insurance policy...with a whallop!

So Mark, what are you doing with your little 298? Seems like your going to have 2 big boar engines to rotate. I could always use a spare built engine!!

Rats. Yes being down sucks.
Being down with rats sucks even more...

Murphy's law says that if you have a 2nd engine waiting, you won't be down because of an engine. If you are, when you install the backup, it won't work - contamination/rust, seal rot, valvespring fatigue (from sitting in one spot), rodents, bugs, etc...

So, at least if you are me, there's no point trying to preempt it... :samuri:

Charming little fuckin' ray of sunshine today, aren't we?!?!?!?!?? :poke:

You could do what I usually do when Murphy and his law book show up. Beat the shit out of him with a Louisville Slugger.

I bought a 2.6 kenne bell almost complete system 2 years ago because it was too good a deal to pass up and it still isn't on the car. I'm thinking of selling it now....

good decision mark :)
