Only dumbasses get caught under a tree in the first place. It's called gravity, dumbass.

For a single tree by itself, yes. Cutting trees in the woods is another story.

I do what that guy does with the ladder, but i under cut the bottom of the branch do when I cut from above it falls straight down.

From below has the effect of sandwiching the saw when it levers down and would get stuck

I cut allot of trees for a job when I was in my teens. That reminded me of how lucky I was to learn lessons, but escape major harm. I did the same thing as that guy on a ladder once, but was able to grab the limb as the ladder swung out. Had I not been so young and quick, I would have fallen a long ways down. We had no freaking clue what we were doing back then.
