I'm buying the boss sway bar kit from Ford. Comes with the bar and both sets of bushings. Now, the gt bar is 22mm and the boss bar is 25mm but I can't seem to find the corresponding bracket for the smaller bushings. I went to ford yesterday and he said re use your old brackets. Seems odd that a bracket designed for. 22mm will fit the 25mm unless the bushing has a different design. Any help would be great before I pull the trigger on this set. Any opinions besides the bar is too big etc. Thx much guys

The bushing hole would be bigger by 3mm which is why the bracket would be the same. One of the guys here did that upgrade in 2020, maybe 21. He had all the part numbers listed.

Achillies tire guy lol.

Thx eba. Yea, that's the only thing that would make sense. Weird tho that the bushing wouldn't be as "thick" being on a boss 302. I'll pull the trigger!

A thicker bushing will have more flex. All else being equal.

I think you can use the stock brackets, but not sure?

I have Granatelli 36mm Front adjustable sway bar and 25mm Rear sway bar kit. They appear the same or very similar to the Ford Racing.

When the rear bushings wore out, I had a hell of time finding a replacement. It took me a couple of different bushings but these fit lower and upper sway bar bushings perfectly. They come with brackets, but I didn't use them as the ones I had are still good.

Moog K90400 rear sway bar bushing (They are from a Honda Prelude) LOL

I have an extra F/R set of sway bars for sale on this forum, but shipping to Canada would be $$$.

My 12GT, came with a 35mm front and 24mm rear. Mine is a manual. I thought the 22mm only came on the automatic. Mine was also equipped with the GT500 rear lower control arms. Not 100% positive if they were different, just know the size on mine. Owner before me only but a cai. He was 70. Thanks.

Does your car have factory front Brembo brakes? Track pack option?

I switched from the stock 07 GT sway bars (20 mm rear, black connection rods, 34 mm front) to 2014 GT bars. They had 24 mm rear with blue connection rods and 35 mm front with press on brackets/bushings (not changeable). The front bushings has to be modified to fit the 07 bolts, no big deal.

These are the ones I have now on my 05' GT and on my now defunct 06' GT Convt.

Note: The GT500 Track Pack Bilstein's, adjustable Panhard and brace!
