Some love thrown out for AM...

After cleaning my wheels last month, I noticed some "creases" on the back of the spokes on one of the Bullitt wheels I bought from them last year.

I contacted AM, they asked for pictures and then I paid the $25 deductible to cover the warranty service.

When I removed the wheel last Friday to have the tire remounted on the new wheel, I noticed those "creases" were actually rub marks. After tracing back who last touched my tires, I realized it was the Ford dealership. They rotated my tires, didn't check to see that they were a staggered set and put the rears up front and the fronts in the rear. Then they realized the wheels rubbed, changed them back and never told me.

AM didn't hesitate to take care of me and as usual, provided stand-up service.

I felt since this wasn't a warranty issue, then I should pay for the new wheel. I PMed Shane about this and he said that we were even due to me being honest.

That was mighty nice of them to do.

Two things I got out of this:

(1) AM is one cool company.

(2) I need to go back to doing my own work on my car.
