Back in April 2011 when I did my blower upgrade, I wanted a Whipple mono-blade. My tuner shop, JDM, said no way, too many tune / driveability issues for street use.
Whipple, also does not recommend their mono-blade for street use..
...................Installed this yesterday, FRPP # ( M-9926-SCJ )
JDM had no issues with the tune after the install. My driving impressions:
Good for crusing, good in stop & go traffic, drives like nothing was changed.......just like the twin 65 mm, just as smooth !!
.
Might be worth a look. JDM has installed several since Dec. 2011, with no complaints..

What the major differences between it and the whipple mono-blade?

Not planning to switch, just curious. I know it would give a little gain over my current TB, but mine will support up to 1,200RWHP, which is higher than I ever plan on going.

the big Whipples can be tuned for street use, if the tuner is willing to put in the effort, will it be as smooth as a stock TB, no, but 800+ hp usually isn't

Not having gone with a Whipple, it would be hard for me to comment on differences.
This throttle body is the OE on 2010 - 2012 Cobra Jets equipped with 4.0 superchargers.
Mfg. for FRPP by Accufab.

My tune was being adjusted, not for hp/tq, but after the install looks like 15rwhp.

1 Alibi, whats the diameter?
.
According to Accufab, 65 mm X 130 mm......I didn't measure it before the install.
