Have any of you guys done the cam swap with out the spring compressor?

Some people do, but I don't. They gradually loosen all the cam journal caps at once and during reassembly they gradually tighten all of them evenly until they are all down, then torque the bolts to 89 inch lbs. I prefer to have no spring tension at all on the caps when tightening cap bolts to 89 inch lbs to insure proper torque.
