After having come out with TVS supercharger "head unit" upgrades for the GT500 and Cobras, I wanted to find a way to easily get more power from the M90 Supercharged Roush Stage 3 and GT Mustangs. The M90 kit was rated at 427HP flywheel (about 360RWHP) they were fun to drive but lacked the kick found in other kits.

Even when modified the M90 was limited to around 430rwhp and would heatsoak quickly.

Many owners opted to swap on an R2300 or Whipple 2.3L kit for more power, up until now, it required a totally new SC kit and lower intake to the tune of $6000. With the VMP TVS upgrade though, swapping the head unit only is now an option, and is much easier and nearly half the price of an entire blower kit.

The 4.6L 3v engine in 05-10 GTs is capable of some awesome power, 450-500rwhp has been found to be very reliable.

The VMP TVS upgrade easily produces 500rwhp/500rwtq on the stock motor (no LTs or cams). The blower switches to a drivers side inlet for a much cleaner look. Pulley sizes are available for stock boost (6psi) up to 15psi.

This is a nice kit!

I got to beat on a car that has this kit on it, the other day, and I must say that I was quite pleased.

I still want to know what it would do using the 15psi pulley with a forged motor, Hot Rod cams, Kook's LT's w/off-road H and heads that have been cleaned up.

LOL!
But I have a line on a Whipple 2.3.
Hate to drop $3500 on this setup and not get 625 RWHP using the 15psi pulley.

Then again, if Brian would get off his ass and put that new motor in we'd find out.
He has damn near the same shit.

Kelly, it was the same car.

Chris, we will find out what this kit will do soon enough. Give me a couple more weeks to get the new motor swapped in. Then once it is broken in, I'll have Justin see what it can do. Results will be posted here as well as in my build thread.

I think that's his stock motor in the pics.

For comparison...my uncle has a 2.3 tvs on his forged 8.5cr 4.6. He has jlt big air, full exhaust, JPC stage one cams and he made 600 rwhp on jpcs dyno at 17lbs of boost.
