I would also suggest looking at Brenspeed in Indiana if it is geographically feasible. They are Mustang performance specialists and would beat the snot out of $7500 dealer installation.....Just my two cents...

Brenspeed is $6k plus tax and installation and the gauge. BS want's at least $800 to install it so you're very close to the OP's numbers.

I also got the Roush hood stripe and Roushcharged decals installed for that price.

My idea was to have it installed under warranty and run it hard for a while to ensure all is ok and then get a vmp or dyno tune.

Okay, now its sounding like you actually got a pretty good deal. Sure that stuff is easy to do at home, but dealers usually charge stupid high figures for it.

Problem solved! Just put two of these on 2-2011 Roush 5XR's yesterday with dyno tunes and the first one put down 610rwhp, the second one made 593rwhp, both with stock exhaust. The difference is night and day compared to the poochie Roush factory tune.

Oh.....these numbers are crazy impressive. You will really push me into buying dr for the track now :)

I tought that a fuel upgrade and idler pulley were not needed with a 82mm pulley swap.

the idler pulley helps with belt wrap and slippage and the fuel upgrade is simply there for security.

What is the impact on the mpg using a bap and are these numbers with 91 or 93 octane.

If you were close by NC I would help you install, just helped a buddy with the brenspeed flush kit. Not hard at all to install.

My opinion the best bang for the $ for the Roush kits. Is to get the Roush tuner kit have a respectable shop do the install and get a remote tune done from a reputable tuner. This is what I did only thing I added was the JLT big air CAI even with that I spent just under $7500 (including tax) putting down 554 to wheels with a Lund remote tune on the stock kit pulley and fuel system. I'm even running factory cats with 0 drivability problems.

I always leave mine on unless I plan on getting a little loose. With the auto and a tune it is pretty easy to know when to expect a downshift, but have had one surprise me before. I run the stock 235's on the street though. The TC definitely lets you get some before it kicks in, but a nice safeguard with so much power and skinny tires.

Damn I wish I could afford to do that. That would make my decade to be able to afford something like this. Just not gonna happen on retired Army pay though. Not for a few years anyway. Loved the video.
