Went to my local track yesterday and 1st run netted a pb right away- 11.65 w/ a 1.627 60', 2nd run = 11.6271 w a 1.6138 60', 3rd run= 11.6079 w a 1.5997 60 ' 4th and final run netted a 11.5630 w a 1.5974 60' @ 118.21 mph. with 1-3 runs mph= 117.59,117.02, 117.60
Da was some where around -500-600 which is unheard of here where I live- our base elevation is 600' to start with .
other notes everyone says 18 psi- those 1.59's were at 16 psi room temp or slightly above- I am sure they were 18-19 after the burn out-

also splashed 2.2 gallons($20) of 110 on top of the slightly+ half a tank of always shell 93 car- was weighing 3700 with me in it (weighed car on Saturday) do not know if the slightly raised octane helped any or not, but the car ran better than it has ever ran - previous best were 1.63 at 11.69, and with current tune I have now it was 11.81 at 116.6 with a da of about +1300 last week. maybe the slight octane raising kept slightly more timing maybe not-
car is still shifting about 7-800 rpm early on the 1-2 shifts 3rd is dialed in perfect - need to get the car data logged and sent to the tuner to have him do the final tweaks-

^ Mine too. I haven't been able to get ahold of Mike to get another revision. I like the guy and he's a great tuner, and I know he's busy, but I'm tired of waiting and lack of communication so I'm looking elsewhere (actually Bama is sending me their V2 tunes to try out as I'm a former customer).

Nice times by the way.

thanks, it is totally my fault on not getting the 1-2 shift dialed in, I have NOT even data logged the car yet- I find I call him and I have had revisions sent - all (3) within 40 mins to my email- maybe try that-

What rpm is it shifting at on the 1-2? Just curious if mine is doing the same. When I looked at the log I remember thinking the 2-3 shift was at a higher rpm than the 1-2

I just checked mine. my 1-2 is at 6300 and 2-3 and 3-4 are at 7000. I too have been waiting on Mike to look at my logs and send me a revision. I sent him the logs, after 5 days of not hearing back, I sent another email to see if he got them. He responded the next day saying he couldn't search his inbox to see if they were there to resend them. So I resent them 4 days ago and still haven't heard anything back! I'm also thinking about looking elsewhere too.

BTW nice times OP and you guys have been a big help with the trans shifting stuff. Also what BMR springs are you using?

My old 2011 GT ran an 11.41 @ 118 with 'only' a 1.62 60'. Same mods as my current car plus a Boss mani, Airaid CAI, and 3.31 gears, versus the factory mani/airbox, and 3.15 gears my current car has. DA was around +850 I think for that best pass. I think with your longtubes and suspension mods, you should be able to crack into the .40s. Good luck!

I should mention that both my old car and current one were/are base models, with front swaybar removed and no spare tire as the only weight reduction (plus the Racestar wheels of course).

Minor update to my situation anyway, Mike did get back to me with an email including another tune file to try out with a revised 1-2 shift. I'll bolt on the drag radials and try it out in the next couple days to see where it shifts. Mike was apologetic about being so swamped lately.

He got back to me too. Gave me a few suggestions to try and log for him and we will go from there.

OP congrats on the PB again! If the DA would of been Neg again, you prob would of got that 11.4xx

that's good to here mike got back to you- I can never find a nice enough road that will hook up to do any testing because as you know if you get the slightest bit of wheel spin the 1-2 shift is off.
Good luck to you on the testing
My rear sway bar has been off since I put my 15x10 s on in feb. I am putting it back on either tonight or in the morning and heading back to the track hoping for a nice 1.57or 1.58 60 ft time.

Yeah, I will just have to test it out and see if it will hook. I've never actually tested my drag radials (255/60 M/Ts) on the street. Obviously with the OEM Brembo Goodyear Supercars it's worthless on the street in first gear.

I am getting to old to be doing burn outs in the street to get the tires hot enough to hook- lol. - And the police's sense of humor isn't getting any better either.

Oh trust me, I understand. I don't do this on the street either, but in this case (for science!) I'll find a quiet road (lots of rural roads by me) and do a quick test-hit (no burnout) and hope it sticks at least well enough to tell if the shiftpoint is improved, or if he went too far and it's bumping the limiter on the shift.

Well, that was a fail. Loaded up the new tune file, bolted on the drag radials (aired to 18psi which is what I run at the track), drove around for 10min warming the tires up and finding a lonely road (difficult). Found an empty spot, started the log, blew the tires right off. Found a different, more lonely road, stopped, did a quick 1-2 gear burnout to heat 'em up. Stopped, started log, blew the tires off again. Sigh.

I guess it won't hook on the street! lol.

sorry to hear that , figured as much - I installed my rear sway that has been off since I put my 15x10's on in feb . never got around to re installing it so the only experience I have had with the torque converter was without the rear bar- man it was like learning to launch the car all over again - It is 60' the same with crappy air compared to the other day I am confident in some good air the car will go 1.58 1.57 60- I was a tenth n a half off my best runs today my best today was a 11.69 with a 1.6000 60 ' . I think I am done at the track for a while - going to have less than desirable air now thru summer- next time will be at Norwalk for the NMRA true street event in a few weeks.

Well (neg.) - 780's da this afternoon netted a new personal best of 11.42 @ 119.30- 60 foot is lighter than normal and what I would like but that's just leaves room for a .39 pass if I can get this thing to hook- since mike gave a revision a couple weeks ago I cant get better than a 1.616, 60 foot or it just blows the tires off(3 different track days)(car all summer was consistant 1.59 in the warm air)- Monday I am going to put the car on ramps and check the rear suspension and see if anything is a miss- Could it be the tires going away- they are getting on their last leg I do know that- - this being noted my best friend had his scat pak and was getting 1.61 and 1.62 60's and his best before today were 1.67's . so I cant blame it all on the track.
