Not like it was when I shredded my BBR cam. It sounds kinda like a mini exhaust leak, increase with rpms, but it does not get louder with rpm. I got no fuckin clue..

1.do you have lockouts?
2.have you used a stethoscope on the motor main fasteners to pinpoint exact NVH area?
3.last oil change?
4.ever replaced your cam sprockets?
5.ever replaced the oil pressure manifold on the front of the cylinder head, pass. side?
6.built motor or stock build? if built, what type of thrust bearing?

1) No lockouts
2) Not yet
3) About 3 weeks ago when I went back to Motocraft 5w-20, before that I was using a full synthetic 10w-30.
4) Never replace the cam sprockets.
5) No, neither side has been replaced
6) Stock motor, never been WOT since dyno tune, Never taken past 5k rpms since dyno tune.

Tax return is the least of the problems. You never stop paying for the wife/delete mod, it usually ends up costing more than not doing the delete.

The motorcraft is a synthetic blend, I was running full synthetic when the tick started. What is oil honey?

yeah kidding about the "oil honey" but its that crap that they sell that "stops ticks" in engines aka hides the problem long enough for you to sell it to some poor bastard or trade in it. like i just did in my jeep. mostly for your normal wear and tear ticking noises that comes standed on Jeep/Mopar and Chevy engines

And the wife/house delete mod...makes the bank account larger!

Really? Since when does losing 50% of everything cause an increase? LOL!

Have you pulled the valve covers to check the Cam Followers? I have seen the roller tip bind and will obviously cause a metallic noise.
