I am looking for some info on wall mount brackets for my bedroom. I want to mount a tv that's around 40". the issue I have is that its going to have to swing out 90° to be visible from the bed. Another issue is that I am going to be mounting it to a double stud, not a 16" spread. my bedroom is not square, and its kinda small. ill try and draw it with regular keyboard characters because apparently I don't have paint on this laptop.

The dresser opposite the bed has a mirror that goes almost to the ceiling.
The R represents a steam radiator.
The D represents another dresser
The C is a closet, next to the closet is the door
The X is where I want to mount the TV, up high so the heat from the radiator wont affect it. I want it to turn flat against the wall facing the closet when its not in use and turn 90° so I can see it from bed.

The corner I want to mount it on has two 2x3 OLD wood studs inside the wall butted up against each other. I emphasize old because they are old growth, close to 100 years old and are strong as hell.

I am not looking to break the bank here, and I don't care if it isn't an attractive mount since it will not be visible 90% of the time. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I've hung with three different mounts from them and been very happy with all. Most expensive one was like $30 bucks I think. Seriously heavy duty and well made. I've done 2 that only pivot up/down and one then pivots up/down and swings left/right. One TV is a 46" and the other is a 42"

I have a 32" mounted in my bathroom on the swivel mount, and the same in my daughters room.

I bought both mounts from monoprice.com. Very good quality stuff.

I second monoprice. I'm using their full motion/tilt wall mount now for my tv and we like it.

I always buy that stuff from Monoprice. Setup Cat6 Ethernet in the walls of my parents house with their stuff. Even have a couple of audio cables (guitar cables included), and have only had 1 go bad because someone spliced the cable in half.

i want to, but its an apartment.

Did you not drill holes in the wall when mounting the TV? It's easy enough to cut a hole in the drywall and drop the cables down and then finish it off with wall plates. Worst case you can get cable management covers that you can paint-to-match as well.

Agreed, love Monoprice for stuff like this.
