Edit* couldn’t edit title but deleted the trash comments for shorter tech….
I’m currently deleting my EVAP canister/valve crap. While pulling out the fuel line and EVAP line I get to the back of the car and see a hose going from the pass side of the tank (tank is dropped btw) back the the canister location, so I start asking myself…
1. Do I just cap that part of the tank off?
2. Does that also act like a “vent” that keeps the tank from pressuring while I’m pumping gas (ie the handle doesn’t just keep clicking off while pumping)
3. While putting the pumps in there I learned about the crossover tube inside the tank, by deleting this will that tube be affected?
4. I want to yank every bit of that out, cap the tank there, install and go…but does that EVAP canister setup do functions Im unaware of but can easily fix?
Reasons for deleting: mount fuel pressure reg in EVAP solenoid location, use fuel line and EVAP line routing for new fuel line routing, don’t car about emissions with this car, eliminating future possible issues with EVAP system.
