How long after grouting shower tile can you actually get it wet / take a normal shower?

Did you seal the grout and tile? When I redid my shower, the grout was allowed to dry for 24 hours and then took sealant and sealed both the tile and grout and waited another 24 hours.

Got some paint work done this morning and fixed the banister that's been broken for nearly 2 years.... took my time getting around to it.

Closed on our new house Tuesday, got most everything moved in so far, tonight will be our first night staying there. Already had gas logs hooked( original owners never used them). New appliances , internet, and Satellite come tomorrow. Cool thing though is the last owners had Dish so I hooked my dish receiver to the old Satellite and it worked.

Finished the second coat of trim paint on the north side of the house. I've got all of the exterior painted except for what is inside the screen porch. Need to move a ton of crap temporarily stored on the porch before I can finish painting, and need to build out my garage space before I can move the crap off the porch. Sometimes I think a small fire would be appropriate. :help:

Thanks, been hectic the past few days. Im having to work this weekend and im working out of town Monday and Tuesday LP so thats hindering unpacking some. I haven't even touched my closet yet. Still have to get my tool boxes and other odds and ends at the old house. Good news though, we have our old house under contract. Closing date is set for mid December right now. I'll get pictures in the days to come

Cool! Good deal on getting your old house under contract so quickly. Even with the strong seller's market and lack of inventory, I was still a bit nervous about carrying two mortgages until we had a contract on my old place. It certainly helps you plan your budget.

We went over a year paying two mortgages. I was so fucking happy to finally dump that house...

One year was my thinking going into this, so anything less is great. Definitely be nice to get it closed on before the year ends so I don't have to pay to heat two houses

Here are some pictures, still a little messy

Yeah, it's a total fucking wreck. You should be ashamed posting pictures like that. :roflbow:

Seriously though, the place is gorgeous. Can I borrow your wife for a week to get my place looking that messy? :helpme:

Yeah I guess I didn't post messy ones, the two guest bedrooms are are the only rooms that need sorting. Frig and stove got delivered today, new microwave and dishwasher haven't arrived yet. Its funny the old appliances were all different brands. This house was custom built per the old owners liking and they added some nice features. Solid hardwood floors throughout the house(tile in baths), gas fireplace, 9ft ceilings with crown molding throughout. Front and rear decks, central vaccum cleaning system. They left a three ring binder with seemingly ever receipt and and info on everything they purchased for the house.

Looks great, I really like that front door, want something similar myself. What's above the garage?

Its just attic space, there's some pull down steps in the guest bedroom that leads to a small built up platform off the trusses that's holds the heat pump. I can store some stuff up there but I'd like to extend the platform more if the trusses can support the weight
