Got a great deal on a slight used Flowmaster American Thunder cat back system. Huge improvement over stock without being obnoxious.

Congrats! From the moment I picked up my mustang I have been eyeing an exhaust system. Seems to quite for a mustang stock!

I got two boxes from FedEx yesterday, my cams and some FRPP blue valve covers. Speaking of the covers, I stumbled across them on fleabay, the company is offering them for $229 shipped. I thought "oh well, it's too good to be true, but if I pay with Paypal I can always submit a claim and get my money back." These things came factory boxed, brand new from Ford, it's the first time in my life something too good to be true, wasn't. Turned out to be the best deal in town by a mile.

Had BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2's installed out back at America's Tire, 275/40/19. They seem a bit wider than the Sumitomo HTR Z III's I had in the same size, but it could just be an optical illusion. Hopefully, they will be stickier. I'll see how they perform after the break in period. Came out to about 212 bucks a tire. I like the plain looking sidewall. These are on a 10" wheel

Girlfriend's Shelby ... got the new 305/35/20 Nitto 555R tires installed, replacing the worn rear Invos, which were 285/30/20:

A nice beefy rear tire is what a Shelby deserves :)

How did you like the Invos? I thought of them before I went with the MTs

Thanks.

We got the tires through AM, their rep on here (Alex) cut us a deal we couldn't refuse.

Still need to do something about the fronts, currently still 5-year-old Invos that are down to the wear bars ...

Gabe, how were the Invos and why did go to the 555r. Looking at purchasing the Invos 275-35-20 front and 295-35-20 rear

We got the wheels with the Invos on them, so didn't have a tire choice there, but we never liked the sizes that the previous owner had installed.
255/35/20 on the fronts and 285/30/20 on the rears.
Both narrower than we would've chosen, and with shorter sidewalls.
So we planned that when the Invos would wear out that the replacements would be in the sizes we want.
So we replaced the rears first, and mostly because now with the TVS blower on there and over 600 ft-lbs of torque to the tires, they really weren't hooking at all. Very easy to spin.
We both used 555R's on both cars in 18" sizes and we know they're a very good street tire, so we chose them in the 305/35/20 for the back of both cars.
Hopefully we get some new 555 G2's on the front wheels soon, same size I'm using, 275/35/20

Nice, I bet she pulls a lot harder now.

Haven't driven the car yet, still need to reload the tune with the new tire size in there so the speedometer and odometer read right.
Weather will suck here for the next couple of days but we're planning a cruise on Saturday, so we'll see ...

Made an appointment to have my car re-tuned today.
Will have the L&M twin-66mm throttle body and the BAP installed when I drive over.
Going with a different tuner than the one I thought I was gonna use.
The one I thought I was gonna use is apparently making me beg for his business, he's not returning messages, and not getting me a date.
So I've given up on him and going with a place that's actually much closer and that a friend recently used and was super-impressed with how professional they were and the work they did on his Whippled '14 GT.
So impressed that he's going back in a few weeks to have them install a 2.9L Whipple on his other Mustang, a 2007 GT500.

This was Tuesday, but got the '14 front brakes installed. The rotors are about 1/2" bigger in diameter.

I had to reuse my bracket bolts as the 14's were too long. Apparently the mounting point is beefier on the newer ones:

Anyway, she stops smooth and true, I didn't push it hard enough to see if there was a huge improvement in braking.

Swapped the SLP's for Roush AB. Perfect. Still loud, but no more trumpeting between shifts, and I didn't set off the car alarm that was 6 spots over from me this morning. And the tone is MUCH better.

RIP - You will be missed
I might have to edit my sig just a little. Must have been the first place some brown truck stopped at this morning, and a couple of boxes with BMR tape around them fell out the back doors and bounced all the way to my front porch .
