What's everyone's 60 foot and setup?

I've trapped 111 before at atco and my 4th gear was right at 6k.
That's with a 26" tire though, I don't hear many people shifting to 5th in the 05-10's.

I def don't wanna shift in to over drive lol I'm gonna try a set of 430 gears and see what it does for me!

4.30's + 26" you will run out of 4th gear before the traps.. you can throw a 28" tire on there and should be OK in 4th.
4.10's with a 26" tire for racing will be perfect.

Alrighty I shift at like 7k if that makes a difference I haven't been able to find a calculation to figure this out

4.30's and a 26" tire.
7k rpm in 4th = 122.1 mph

4.30's and a 28" tire.
7k rpm in 4th = 131.5 mph

So I guess you're good either way.

My '11 5.0L manual trans is a daily driver with 4.56 gears, LCA's, 28" tall M&H drag radials, GT500 axlebacks, SCT 91 octane strategy tune, and stock airbox w/K&N air filter. I've run a best of a 1.68 sixty foot time, with quite a few in the low 1.7's.

118.7 mph @ 6800 with a 26" and 4.30's.

You know, you're right this hasn't occured to me. I did 11.89 at 115 with 4.30s and a 26" tire, and getting close to the rev limiter at 7k. If this tranny was indeed my problem getting a personal best that's faster, then I'll hit the wall quick and need to pop into 5th. I think 28" tires for the fall season are a given at this point, since my 26s still have plenty of tread left for brackets...

What is your launching technique?

I hold about 2,000 to 2,500 rpm's at the line, then feed gas & slip the clutch pretty quickly to get the car off the line promptly. My 28" tall d/r's hook so perfect, but are tall, so with 4.56 gears I don't have to slip the clutch like I used to with the 3.73 factory gears.
