Any opinions on this? I was told i didn't need to, however my wheels in a month that i changed my front sway have gone bald in the inside face (sign of negative camber) to the point where the wiring mesh on the tire was showing. Both wheels went bald pretty much evenly, but the driver side was down to the wire mesh the passenger was starting to show string wear.

Thanks

Did you touch any other suspension parts? Did you inspect your tires while installing swaybar? Wondering were they already mostly worn (existing issue). Sounds like you now need tires which should get fresh alignment anyway.

it was a pretty straight fwrd swap, on top of ramps. Losened the tie rods, and the 4 bolts holding the bushings and the OEM sway bar came off. Like i mentioned before, i never had an issue with tire wear before swapping sway bars[emoji848].

What other mods do you have to your suspension?

I installed also the rear sway bar. Nothing else was done to the suspension.

Loosening the tie-rods most likely you adjusted the toe in,, and too much toe in, or out it wont take long to wear the tire shoulder right through the cords.

Get it aligned and the replace tires.

I would like to think he meant the nuts that hold the tie rod to the knuckle. Not the jamb nuts that lock the toe adjustment

RIP - You will be missed
They don't affect the static alignment, but to the extent that they're stiffer than the OE bar(s) that came off they will affect the actual operating camber by reducing roll (the outside tire doesn't go as far toward zero or positive in corners taken no harder than before, and I suspect that the inboard tire stays more negative as well).

Why would you have to loosen the tie rods to change a sway bar? What else HAS been done to the suspension?

I'm going to guess he means the end links instead of tie rod ends.

As for the tires "suddenly" wearing out, it could just be you didn't notice. If your car is lowered then chances are you don't see the inside of the tire a whole lot. And did you really look at them when you installed the sway bar? Or did you just pull them off and roll them to the side? I pulled an aftermarket suspension off a buddies car because he was trading it in. He was planning on selling the rims that were on it until we pulled them off and found the front wore down exactly like yours. The car was low and he never had a reason to get under it so he didn't look at them.

I'll purposely park in the driveway sometimes at full lock so I can check inner edge.

Yes! I'm sorry i meant the end links, not tie rods. As many of you suggested, the toe was off on both sides (almost 2"). It was aligned properly and hopefully the issue was resolved. Any ideas why the toe my have been so far off?

How long have you had the car? A previous owner might have changed the tie rods and didn't bother to get the car aligned. Hitting potholes/curbs can ruin the toe setting as well.

Is this the only print out they gave you? I would be curious to see something with actual before and after numbers.

I've had the car a little more than a yr. i drove it back from kansas with a good set of tires. No wear whatsoever. I switched to a new set of wheels, new tires and once again no notable wear. Ithen changed to a set of taller tires in the front since inwas hitting just about everything in the road my front sitter was taking a beating. About a month ago like i mentioned i switched the front sway bar last sat. I noticed my tires were bald. I take care of my car, i know for a fact i did't hit any potholes, which is why it's so puzzling.

The tech told me that the toe was off on both wheels that it didn't even show up on the chart. (Almost 2" he mentioned) i hace the paperwork and i will post pics of it.
