i went from 285/40/18 goodyear supercars to 305/45/18 nitto drag radials.

i know that going with the bigger tire it changes my gear ratio to approx 3.90. but they look pretty sweet.
so i am heading to the track tommorow. my last time out i pulled a12.8/w 1.9 with the goodyears. know i have the drag radials so i am hoping for better ! ive got a couple questions will these tires seeing they changed my gear ratio will they make the car slower? i am hoping to get out of the hole a little harder and run a better time. what do you guys think?

You should be able to cut much better 60s 1.7Xs IMHO with the nitto's, you will need to leave harder as well IMO, your ETs should be improved, but your traps might suffer a bit w/ the bigger tire

I'd start at 5000 and work from there up or down depending on how the car reacts

So you dropped up a tenth in your 60' time, but ran the same 1/4 mile time. You should've ran at least a 12.65-12.70 with your lower short time.

Maybe with the heat your car was pulling timing.

the 1.7 was the best the only thing close to it was a 1.9 earlier and i rean a 12.8 then also so im thinking the heat had alot to do with it . they have street nights here weds nights i am going to run when it a little nicer out . i was thinking easy 12.6 but we will see what i can do next time. but next time i may have 100 of the squeez on it lol!!
