WOT Box Questions

I am interested in getting one of these but I have a few questions. Would I need a Windows based laptop/computer to set everything up on the WOT Box? I have a MacBook and a Dell desktop. Also, is there a way to turn the unit off if need be?

I sent N2MB an email asking them if it is MAC/Apple compatible.

Its not I had trouble using my macbook I called them and they said I had to use an IBM compatable laptop
BTW their customer service was 1st rate

Yes, you can do that, some guys like to have the laptop at the track to make adjustments.

Ok great, I will probably never go more then maybe once a year to the track so this is perfect.

U will need to buy the external power supply to use it on your desktop
Also you can disable all features from the GUI

But the unit must remain plugged in line to complete the circuit for the ignition

Just installed mine a few days ago. Yes youll need to have it in the car or the external adapter to program it. Has to be programmed in windows (or bootcamp of some sort). Once the wiring is done, car wont run without the wotbox plugged in. Installation wasnt too bad at all.

Only been a few days but I love it. Shifts like butter under wot.

Yes, it can be used, but only if the mac is running windows through boot camp, vmware or parallels.

Also, yes you can turn it on and off without a laptop.
