WTB NHRA Compliment Helmet/ Jacket

Does anyone have a NHRA compliment helmet (thats current) or where is the best place to buy one. I'm running slicks and nitrous so I need a fireproof jacket also. Can anyone help?

You can get jackets at Summit for about $50. And any SNELL 2000 or 2005 rated helmet will suffice.

Make sure you check with the track you are going too, because US131 Motorsports park requires 2005 and newer snell now. I found out last season when they said I couldn't run.

Are you 100% sure? If that's the case, then that track is more stringent than NHRA requires. I know the SNELL 95 was no good last year, but the SNELL 2000 is allowed by NHRA until 1/1/2012.

Even so, if I was buying a new helmet, it would be a SNELL 2005 or SNELL 2007 anyway. Those are good until 1/1/2017 and 1/1/2019, respectively.
