I think I might go with the speed of sound cupholder panel.

I have one of those since on week and i'm very pleased.

Hey thanks again. How hard was it to mount in the vehicle?

You'll have to do some minor work to mount it over the tunnel. The aluminum cover shown in the B&M picture is not needed. Since I had the 5-speed, I keep the shift boot to provide a finished look. A small hole had to be cut into the boot to make room for the safety lever. The cable runs though the existing opening above the drive shaft.

OD & torque converter lockup is controlled via a switch in a raised mount in the cupholder. The cruise controll "off" button is used to engage the trans brake. The high beam switch is used to activate the line lock. The later two both function for street use. There is another switch under the center arm rest that allows to to toggle between "race" & "street".

What causes an input shaft to break? I am building my KB engine to run 15 pounds of boost. Do I need to worry about my input shaft breaking?

Good clutch + good traction + >400ft-lbs of torque = broken shaft eventually

It would be hard, though not impossible to do with a stock clutch, but something that is appropriate for 15lbs of boost along with sticky tires and your input shaft is going to be a concern. Upgrade to a 26 spline shaft.

Mine went on the 2nd to 3rd gear shift. I heard of alot of people snapping them on the 3rd to 4th shift.

Does anyone have an idea of how much my ET will go down going from a Manual to the Lentech with a transbrake? Ill have the transmission here on Monday. Installed by Tuesday. I am trying to make it to the track that Tuesday night, unless there is some sort of break in period like everything else. Im just trying to get an idea of what kind of ET to expect? The last time my car made it down the track it went 11.49 at 122mph.

It's going to take some practice but you should see a few 10th off the bat and more once you find the best shift points and best RPM launch. The trans brake will drop your 60' time and allow you to cut a better light than the foot brake. My 60' times are generally a 0.1 quicker off the line with the TB than the foot brake but the trans brake is harder on the drive train parts. The biggest benefit, with any auto, is never having to lift between shifts. That's where you'll make up the time.

These guys offer a swap kit also
http://www.fbperformance.com/page.asp?get=9&t=TopR_BottomL

Its not listed on their site yet but they offer a complete package for the 4r70w s197 swap. (i saw the ad in one of the stang mags recently)
I installed one of theyre built aod's in a buddys turbo cobra a couple of years ago and its still kicking ,works well w/no problems so far. Lentechs are super nice units theyre just so damn much $$$$.

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! those are some good prices on their tranny's, especially those for cars with just a few mods (450 hp and down. That is definitely a place to check out when my goes south.

LOL - neither of them have blown up a rebuilt motor yet and aren't even in the ChevyKiller's league of broken parts...:samuri:

For me, the question isn't 'what have you broken', it is 'what HAVEN'T you broken' cause that's a much shorter list.
