Yeah its a common problem unfortunately and so easy to mess up the threads.
Just give me a shout if you hear of anyone that needs one fixed. So much cheaper than buying the whole ass'y new!
BTW guys, I figured out an awesome fix for that remote linkage I asked about yesterday.
I have a machine shop at work and was able to face off the broken stud, drill and tap a new M8x1.25 hole and loktite a hardened class 10 stud in place.
Anyone else in need of this fix just give me a shout!

Hey guys - I noticed a lot of people have had issues when swapping out their factory shifters for STS's. If you happen to booger up a thread or break the studs on the remote arm, ford makes you pay $400+ to replace the entire ass'y just to get the remote linkage?!
