Needing to replace the front bumper cover on the Mustang this winter. Been looking for a used one but have noticed the aftermarket has new covers, some even for less money then a used one. wondering what experience others have had with the aftermarket covers. Just looking for a stock replacement style. Thanks

its kinda a pain .. it comes folded up,, than you have to open it up and kinda sprawl it out, than use a heat gun to form it.. install on car,, use more heat to form it to car ( some are worse than others ),,

than once formed to the car,, take it off and paint,,,, reinstall and hope she held

I bought my front bumper cover from CARiD a few years ago. The quality was very good and the fitment was perfect. Aside from cleaning up a little flashing around the edges, it was ready to paint straight out of the box.

When I cracked my front splitter I got a bumper cover and grill from Street Scene. I think this is version 2.

Anyways I placed it in the sun for a few hours (urethane) then test fit it. Did a little prep work and took it down to my local paint shop and they shot it for $300. Oh, I had to cut some styrofoam to add to the top of the stock bumper support just because the urethane is not as rigid as the stock bumper. But this is a chance to get a little different look to your ride.

Here you can see the little pieces of white foam I cut and placed in the bumper support.

I have used several of the california special bumper covers that i have bought off ebay. The seller is out of Lasalle Illinois and I have not had a single issue with any of the 6 covers i have received from them so far.. and they ship their covers for free vs others charging crazy shipping prices for the same part.

I got mine from Car Parts.com. I came folded. A combination if the sun and a heat gun got it "Acceptable" not perfect. Still better than the old one.

If you’re near PA (17302) I have a stock 2006 GT bumper cover in tungsten gray that is left over from a swap to a Rousch ten years ago. You can have it.
