I know what you mean I wanted to paint the vents too but was impatient and swapped it out fast. I like the carbon fiber look too probably keep it this way for a while.

Update it’s been a while but for those who have the same question I went with the redline struts worked great looks good too.

I’ll have to check that out it’s crazy thou when the hood is open I can flex it easily. I ended putting hood pins right away most sketchiest thing I’ve done to date lol

I know about disasters too lol but yeah let me know if you find them I would take them off your hands. I also found a company called redline tuning they offer kits specific to carbon fiber hoods. So they say lol.

I haven't measured the travel yet was hoping someone already went through the trouble lol. As for the hood itself it's really not that sturdy compared to the aluminum one. It's a carbon fiber shell on a fiber glass mold if that makes sense.

It’s a ford racing one piece, I swap a tr6060 so I needed a new drive shaft. Never had that problem before with the two piece. I do have adjusted upper and lower mounts. Haven't had the time to get underneath I was thinking of buying another pair of ramps to get under it but I’m open to ideas too.

It gets the job done, I like to try something else but idk if it will make a big difference or worth the trouble. I still have a meth kit I have yet to install so that should help with the intake temps too.

I started with the Vortech v3, CX racing air intercooler, 60lb injectors, gt500 pumps and Lito tuned and made around 470rwhp. But because I knew I wanted to go bigger then, now I have a built motor with vortech V7 same fuel delivery making 627rwhp. Once you get the itch man it’s hard to stop lol.
