Shaker 1000 MP3 problem

Just bought my 08 Bullitt in May and I have been having problems playing mp3 cd's. I had a couple that I had been playing, and one day it just decided to tell me it was a bad disc and now it says all mp3 cd's are bad discs. I know I could just use my ipod, but I figure if my radio has the capability it should be able to work.

Should I take it in to the dealer to see if something is wrong with the head unit? Or is there a special way to format mp3 cd's for this head unit?

I would definately take this to the dealer if it is still under warranty.
