Wanting to have 305/35/18s out back on 18x10's Deep Dish Bullits...can I do that? I plan on lowering the car with FRPP springs and Tokico D-Spec Adj. Shocks. Anyone know of a tire I can run that has good traction in the rain? Car is a DD and sees some rain occasionally...oops lol

Yes - I run 305/45-18 on the street and did when I was 1" lowered (not lowered anymore but it fit then too)

Doc does as well as a few others around here. Be careful in the rain if you go with any DR tire.

Hmm where did you get a 305/45? Was it a DR? I'm trying to find a street radial because I've heard nightmares about running DR's in the rain...

Nitto 555R 305/45-18 - they are DR's and several of us use them for our street tires. II you worried, then go with the NT555 - they are a radial tire and I believe come in a 305/35-18 - they are what I use on the front.

My Nitto 555R Extreme Drag IIs are 10 times better in the rain that the Pirellis that came on the car.

My dads Nitto DR's hydroplane bad. He thought he was going to wreck the car.

The Goodyear F1's are a good tire also. (im selling a set) hehe

Good to know, as I was concerned about driving on wet roads with them. Although, saying they are better than the Pirellis isnt saying much.. haha

I've never had a problem with Nitto drag radials in the rain in any car I've run them on.

I run the nitto 305/45/18 555R DR with the frpp handling package (1.5" drop) with no problems. I also find them to be perfectly great in the rain just so long as you have tread left on them.

It all depend on how you drive. Id say MT DR last about 8k, and Nitto DR last about 12k.

Hmm I'm startin to like the sound of these tires lol. So if I just drive the car easy and don't apply throttle then I'll be good in the rain?

Sure. If you don't apply throttle, you wont move...no chance of spinning them then. Also, they will last a looooong time. :roflmao:

I have had Nitto 305/45/18 Nitto 555 DR's on the Lightning for a few years now. Of course, pickups are really light in the back end, but I still have had no problem driving in the rain. Regular 555's go great up front.

I run the 305/35x18 Nitto DR's, and really like them. No problem with fitment, ot driving in the rain. Just expect them to last a long time. You'll be just fine with the 35 sidewall.
