Oil Separator Warranty Questions

First thread on here, been a member and lurking for a while now. This is definitely the most technical forum I'm on and i love it. You guys all know your shit, and now ill pose my questions.

With all of the warranty skepticisms with the new 2011+ mustangs, would you think the dealership would void if i added a JLT oil separator to my 2012 V6? Secondly, is the oil separator worth it?

I am aware that i could just pop back on the stock piece for service, just merely a question out of curiosity in regards to the warranty. And i DID search for 15-30min on the topic with no luck.

Unless they can prove the separator created the problem you are having fixed, it should NOT void the warranty. That being said, if you are at all concerned about it potentially being an issue, swap it before you go in to avoid the headache. If you bring it in for something non-engine related, don't sweat it. If you're in for engine issues, but the stock tube back on - do not even give them an opportunity to deny coverage.

As far as "worth it", that is subjective. It basically catches oil mist/vapor that normally is fed back into the intake to be burned off. For me, I just believe the overall health of the engine is better if it is not ingesting this excess oil stuff and has a better opportunity to run better for a longer period of time.

I'm not sure how much is collected in the V6's. There is a small amount collected in the V8's.
