Not a lot of drifters here. Mostly drag & corner-carvers on this site.
I'd love to try drifting. It looks like crazy fun, but I probably will never give it a shot because it is so hard on your equipment, and honestly, the people I know that drift around here are cocky little pricks that are half my age!
I even bought a used Miata to start doing track days with because I don't want to risk bending my Mustang. I'll autoX with it, but that's it. Definitely no drifting!
I visit this section from time to time. I'm new into drifting, so I really don't have a lot to say. Just read posts and try to learn. I drag raced for a few years and didn't really like the crowd. So far the drifting crowd has been great. I don't know a lot of people, but the ones I have met have been cool.
My missile car is a 240 aka green stripe. I plan on building a mustang as my comp car once I get better and feel like I'm ready to compete. Unfortunately practice events are very limited here.
actually you might meet one of our cocky 16 yr old drift kids lol. His pops really does a ton for him and he always goes to vegas to drive. The drifting in Vegas is suppose to be super fun though
He isn't the one with 'thanks dad' on his car is it? Lol I think it was a corolla? It is a good place for drifting (from what I hear), I like the track, but I wish I could practice more. Since I'm so new into drifting idk where where all the Vegas drift guys go to practice outside of the practice events. I heard Forrest has a track at his get nuts shop, but never been there and don't know if it's a invite only thing.
