I think my computer just crashed trying to load this....
Hey Buddy get High Speed DSL Dawg.
Thanks ...
it took me 15min to quickly go through that thread.
its looks amazing TIGER!!! what an awesome build!
I appreciate it.
Terry is a certified badass thats for sure! Deffs my favorite Bullitt out there!
Thanks and glad you like the Bullitt.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Congratulations on the build!!
Thanks Pal.
However, I am curious as to why Brenspeed chose to use Comp's OEM replacement valve spring (26113) rather than Comp's high load valve spring (26125) when you are running aftermarket (Detroit Rocker) cams.
The (High Load) Comp Valve Springs are for "Very High Lift Cams".
Brenspeed "Detroit Rocker" Blower cams are Drop-In-Cams. (Not High Lift)
I could have had either and took the Advise of Brent on which Springs to go with.
The 26113 Comp Springs are much stronger than the stock valve springs.
There are comparison Post here on S197 of Stock Springs versus the Comp 26113 Springs.
Thanks for checking the Post out.
you weren't kidding about the pictures! Very nice thought!
Thanks for checking it out.
I believe in "Detail".
your car is top notch in every way. what's your power goals in the end?
I am actually done now with (Power).
I wanted the reliability of a built 302 engine.
My stock engine was Dynoed at 508 HP this Fall.
In my opinion and others that was at the Limit for the stock block internals.
So have been patiently waiting to upgrade to this New Brenspeed built engine and supporting hardware.
This really is not a drag strip car as it is driven thousands of miles a year.
I just want to know it will last with the Power Level it is now.
That is some of the best pictures of a build I have seen , and I love the shop at Brenspeed ,nice and clean ! I know you can't wait till the weather gets better so you can do a "road test " .
Brenspeed's Facility is immaculate and the Clean-Engine-Room is Spotless.
I wanted to do the build in the winter so it would be cold and give time to put miles on the New 302 engine before the 100 degree Heat of Summer.
Very Nice.
Well thought out Mods. Congrats, Terry!
Hi Ron,
Thank-You.
It took many months of planning and input from guys like you to make it happen.
Thanks again for the Stainless Differential Cover Allen Bolts.
Terry aka "tigerhonaker"
You have one beautiful car there brother, inside and out! Reading through that thread made me feel as if I had been there with you during the swap. Great job and thank you for your dedicated efforts to document and display your new build!
Frank,
I tried to do as much Detail as possible and let others see what takes place.
I make an effort to look at things from someone that is not there and would like to see.
It would be nice if others that do builds would provide their customers with the same info. on a much smaller basis.
I know the customers would have their minds put to ease if something like this was Posted, E-Mailed or PM sent. (Smaller Scale of Course)
Very nice. How long did they take to complete the job? I have considerd going there for a shortblock also.
The time frame for the actual removal of my engine was less than 4-hours. (We timed it just for the heck of it)
I was at Brenspeed for a week to complete all aspects of what you saw done on the Post.
I do "Recommend" Brenspeed to you as I have now done Business with them for over 2-Years.
Zero-Complaints.
Here is your contact person.
Holy thumbs up batman! Awesome build. I'm surprised they let you hang around the whole time snapping pics. Did they let you help do any of the work? That is a monster tq curve. If you want to call it a curve. haha. Enjoy. I know I would.
Brenspeed generally does not allow customers to be in their Shop while work is being done.
In my case I was allowed to do this as I worked for Dealers in Service for 15 Years.
I held many different positions through the years like, Assist. Service Manager, Customers Relations Manager., Rental Manager etc.
This was set-up a head of time and as you say it was a (Privilege) and I very much Appreciated it.
I did not turn wrenches and did not "Talk" to the guys doing the work. (No interference with them)
They did their jobs and I sat quietly on the side and took the pictures you saw.
The Torque is Flat from 3K to 6K and over 500 Ft. Lbs. and the car responds instantly.
Glad you found the Post informative.
moved to pics/vids
Terry - it's not tech as there is no "building" details. just pictures as I looked thru it briefly.
Thanks for "Moving" the Thread to the correct place.
I just really was not sure and that is why I added the Note to the Mods.
Thanks for taking your Time to Handle the Move.
Terry
How does it feel to drive Terry?
Looks awesome!
It feels like Honestly a New Bullitt from the time you Start the Engine.
This Mustang is the Shit now.
It looks Awesome when seen in person when Detailed. (
Filthy Now)
Driving it takes some getting use to and honestly I am not there yet.
When it warms-up and I can get out in it and put miles on it I think it will be some Fun Times.
The thing that really impresses me is barely pushing on the Go-Pedal in 5th gear and it just takes off immediately.
From a Stop it is really cool as you now (Really Hear) the Saleen Supershaker spin-up.
There is No-Doubt you are in a real honest Bad Ass Machine ........
Thanks for the Comments & Post Guys.
Hello Ray,
Thanks for checking things out.
Glad you had Fun and Enjoyed the Post.
