i wish!!! lol...i know its a pure bitch. but the issue is it sits up a little too high and people have said it lifts a little on the shift outer boot. i am lowering it an inch and the first 50 units WILL get a new boot free!!! george

I noticed it did alittle on mine nothing to bad. Going to call to get mine

hey guys,

an update...

first of all i have sold out of the 100 units...( but i made 120 so pretty much everyone that has called will get one.

we have already started on the next run of shifters.

the boots should be here wednesday . and the heat shields about the same time so julie and debbie will be making their calls monday and tuesday so make sure you are available .

here are the final prices...

shifter 375.00

heat shield and manneglass thermal barrier. 25.00

(this kit is a bit more than i estimated BUT it is for good reason.)
i made this shield TWICE as long as i wanted at first so it covers the entire shifter and bushing bracket and seals the rear of the shifter to the tunnel.

mgw shift knob 35.00

deluxe jam nut 10.00

extra handle if you want to use the stock knob also 15.00

george

i am hoping to start shipping end of the week.

sorry if I missed it or don't quite understand

does it come with a shaft, if so which one?
question is - do I have to buy an "extra handle" if I am going to use the stock shift knob?

In a nutshell, I would like to use the MGW and am going to use my stock 400A knob and boot.

I am trying to add up the $$ here to see where I would be.

When you order your shifter you get one handle with your choice of thread pitch included in the base price. If you want two handles then it's extra. If you buy a shift knob it's extra.

Just got my call too! Can't wait for this thing to get here. The videos on SVTPerformance break the install down very well. I wish they had some vids of the car being driven with it in.

Still eagerly waiting for my call. :)

When did you get your name put on the list? Just as a point of reference, I was put on 15 September, and just received my call Monday. I was told I was in the first part of that group of 100, so hopefully if you were on that same list you will get your call soon! Hang in there.

I called on September 8.

Edit: I thought it was weird that I had called before you but hadn't heard from them so I called. Good thing too, for some reason they said I wasn't on their list! They said it wasn't a problem though and took my order again.

MGW installation video

So for anyone who has followed the installation video on SVT, is it as straightforward and easy as it appears? The video is very well done, in fact the best I've seen. Watching a video and doing the work are still two different things.

Thanks.

MGW Installation

So has anyone installed this themselves? Would love to hear about your experience.

Thanks.
