I think there may be another reason it hasn't sold...maybe people are scared of it? You're running 481 rwhp, correct? At a 15% driveline loss, that translates to 565 flywheel hp, and the general consensus seems to be that the stock internals on the 3v 4.6 are good for 500. Now obviously all the engines are different, and yours may be on the strong side of the normal distribution curve, but it still may scare people into wondering how long it will last before something breaks.

I say this because these thoughts creeped into my mind when I 1st saw it. I still would buy it, I think (if I hadn't bought my GT/CS 3 months go), but I would have a different pulley put on to lower the psi, and have it retuned for lower hp just to be on the safe side.

I don't think it's that bad, I am at 473 RWHP.
I certainly don't have any 1st hand info, I'm just expressing an opinion based on what I've read about the limits of the stock internals here, at Mustang Source Forums, and at the "unmentionable site" before I was banned from there. And....we all know about opinions....everyone has one, kinda like something else everyone has, but I digress.

I think this car is a steal, not just for the SC, but for all the brake and suspension upgrades.....I would have readily bought it had I not already plunked down $27.8k for my GT/CS, and I'm actively pushing it to a fellow gas trader who's looking at Shelby GT500's...I'm telling him he can get more HP and better handling for literally half the price.

Donny: do you have it advertised on the green sheets, on eBay, etc? I'm thinking on eBay it would be gone in no time...all you'd have to do is set your reserve for the value equal to $30k plus the commish, plus whatever fees are due.

Edit: I think this would be a perfect car for a SGT owner...has his "collector" car, and also has his BADASS MF that is a sleeper...

i tried the ebay thing and got nowhere.
its been in the auto trader for about 6 months now, i have 1 guy from reno looking at it.
i also have the 3.6 and 4" saleen pulleys to go with it in case youd want to detune it.
i run torco boost in it to eliminate preignition but i never heard any when i didnt.
the shift lite is at 5800 and the revlimiter is 6500, i rarely spin it that fast anyways. and im not a big racer fiend.
i was at adams the other day, had a few looks but nobody was all that interested.
excellent cond and runs great!

I was one of them, but trust me, I was/am interested. I cannot commit yet though, got a house in escrow and another huge family matter that needs to remain #1 before I plop out the dough for another vehicle. As far as the RWHP, that caught my attention also. I figured that if I did get it I would back it down a bit. As far as my first-hand impressions? EVERYTHING on that car is nice and was done very well - no hack-jobs.

Montreal Qc,
Since I'm in the same RWHP ballpark I know that it can be beat on without any concern.

Anyone who is looking to mod a GT would be lucky to pick this one up.
Go to your local meets with a for sale sign in the window.

The problem still remains that you need to find someone who can either pays cash or has enough cash to bridge the gap between the book value and the selling price and he gets a loan for the balance.

Any thoughts on the California Department of the Mentally Void and smog implecations? This is probably the deciding factor...

If I did this I wouldn't need a roll-bar. Of course, I would have to learn how to use a clutch...
