I found a kit by On 3 Performance. It's a 70mm turbo setup that looks really legit. They have videos, dynos, and a parts list. The numbers actually look really really good, and I want to go with it. The only problem is the kit is under 2k brand new, and that actually scares me. Has anyone heard about this? Thanks!

If you read through the entire thread, there is a lot left to be desired. All the major compents are knockoff parts. I am going to be tested out just the hotside piping and upgrading everything else from this kit.

this kit is a great kit. yea the turbo, waste gate, and blow off valve arnt name brand but they work just like they are suppose to. i installed this kit and it is top notch on the piping, welds, and flanges i would compare it to my hellion kit. if you have any questions about this kit just pm me i have seen it in person unlike the other people that will bash it, and i can tell you if they are right or not.

chad will respond perfectly fine if you give in to his suggestions, which are always bogus.

anytime i had him cornered with nothing to do but provide me a solution to my problem he magically stopped responding to my emails....must've had a bad internet connection or somethin...yeah..thats it.

the kit fits like crap is made of shit material and comes with shit parts. yeah yeah you get what you pay for and this kit is cheap.. but when its advertised to fit, and you see a bunch of leghumpers saying how great it fits one tends to think whats the worst that could happen?

hmmmmmm...

-missing hardware
-missing advertised parts (heatwrap, vaccuum line)
-ill fitting everything, multiple parts reworked to attempt to rid of exhaust leaks
-shit vband flanges that needed to be hit with a sander to get close to flat (mine were warped and didnt sit flush)
-shit vband clamps, barely fit around the pipes or dont tighten enough- even with his claimed "upgraded vband kit"
-car has 2000 miles on it and absolutely no bad weather exposure, and the pipes already showing signs of rust at the welds
-y-pipe deleted as it hung an inch from the ground, replaced with single exhaust

im sure theres plenty more im skipping over right now...

buy a hellion kit and be done.

There are several people that are in the process of using these now.. Watch their builds and make your own decision based on their experiences. Also, FWIW this Bullitt357 guy has 13 posts of nothing but negativity towards these kits. That's all he posts about and his linked example is from Modular Fords, where we get our "Tech Thread of the Day" laughter from.

Yes I can vouch for that...save a little more and do it right the first time.
With all due respect, your engine failure is a totally different situation.

we've been through this a million times...

The piping is good. Its piping. It all performs the same.

The part to be worried about is the turbo/bov/wg.
those should be upgraded to better brands.

Wish I had my kit done, so all these talking could stop. I've said it a lot now for what you pay it is a awesome kit. I upgraded a few things but nothing major. After this winter I'll go with a new wastegate and BOV and see how the turbo is. Most bash the kit have not seen it in person, paid 5k plus for the same thing or just buy in to all the other peoples negative talk. If you really want to do some reseaching go to corral Chad posts on there all the time and just about everyone how his kits. You can get a lot of good information, to help your decsion.

like someone here has in their sig

The thrill of the lowest price is shortlived, the sting of bad parts stings forver

It goes something like that.

Spend an extra 1k and get something used or a new tuner kite from vortech or procharger. Trust me you'll be happier.

i guarantee their 3" piping flows the same as any other 3" piping

well yes and no.... flows? yes... but temps? no. My STS kit has ALL the pipes ceramic coated to lower inlet temps. Hot air = lost power.

theres 2/3 people installing these right now.
Lets see their results and then decide...

I hear you. Some people like to go with the do it right or don't do it approach which is why I mentioned that, seems like a decent kit though. It'll make decent power. I wish everyone the best who's going with this kit.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low cost disappears...
