we'll be bringin the camry out fri night (weather permitting of course)

I hope the weather holds. Friday's weather is supposed to be the worst all week. Also, the track shuts down when it gets dark out because there are no lights.

Well look at this thread. I'm in Marysville. It looks like the weather will hold for Bremerton this friday. I know I'll see Marc there, anyone else?

BTW the next stangnation dyno day is two weeks from saturday on Oct. 9. Sign up at www.stangnation.com under events. It's a sticky.

Of course I will be there! The rain ruined my fun last Friday and Saturday.

I was born in Lakewood (1964). Back then, it was the suburbs and nice. Times have changed!

My wife was born in Lakewood in '65 and my mother was born in Lakewood in '47. Looks like Lakewood was a happening place once upon a time! Me? Born in Renton in '65. Guess we're mostly locals around here despite the heavy influx of Californians and military folk stationed here (like my dad was way back when, which explains me being here).

Yeah there are still certain areas that are nice....but it's mostly pretty ghetto now.

Dupont seems to be the developing suburbs for the upper-middle class now but it's mostly military because of the close proximity to post.

It might be the last race until next April, you better show up. LOL

I didn't go and they only got one 1/8 mile run in ....LAME! Running the 1/8 mile is like having sex with 4 condoms on....you technically are doing something fun but you wonder how much funner it could have been had you actually done the real thing!

Weather is looking better for racing at Bremerton tomorrow! Supposed to be partly cloudy with a high of 70. And the wind should be at our backs instead of the headwinds which often slow us down there. I'm thinking a new personal best is ripe and ready for me tomorrow!

Had a good time racing at Bremerton tonight. Weather was very good for racing. Track elevation is 150' above sea level and the DA (density altitude) was only 300' above sea level, so we can't use weather as an excuse for our runs tonight! A few highlights...

1. My 07 GT ran a best of 12.05 @ 112 in the 1/4 mile. Ran a 12.16 @ 112, as well. Not my best ever, but decent. Would have loved an 11.99 or better, but oh well.

2. Marc S ran 11.60's @ 120+ in his white Procharged '08 GT. I think I saw a 125 mph run in the mix? Just wish he could get better traction!

3. Rhonda brought out her Kona Blue '11 5.0L Mustang. Automatic coupe with drag radials and a canned tune from the HP Ranch in Maple Valley, but no dyno time. Car was amazing running 12.30's @ 114-115 consistently every run!

4. Quite a variety of supercharged Mustangs tonight! Vortech, ProCharger, RoushCharged, Whipple, Eaton, etc. Seems like we're all running boost now, except the '11 5.0L crowd which is nearly as fast as us with just bolt ons!

We all had fun and nobody broke anything!

I heard that Marc S and Bruce H lined up as well, and if the tune is from HP Ranch it ain't no canned tune its a dyno tune! Damn those 5.0's are running strong! And if Marc S trapped 125 that car has got 10 second 1/4 miles in it with traction. There was also alleged to be a lone turbo car Fox Body that should have been running in the 10's.

Even though traction is still an issue, it was a fun night of racing. I hope the track prep is better tomorrow. I would like to see a 10.99 or quicker out of the stock short block before the season ends. I agree that my 125 MPH trap speed is enough for a 10 second pass. 1.75 60's are getting old considering other people on this forum with the same suspension mods are in the high 1.40's and low 1.50's. The M&H DR showed some hope. However, they would not take more than a 3,000 RPM launch on the 2 step. Time for slicks I guess.

Here's the slip. We were both having 60' issues. It was a fun race. Marc got me by about .12

Hate to break it to ya, but Rhonda's Kona Blue '11 5.0L did not get strapped down to John's dyno at all. She went to the HP Ranch to get an SCT tuner to correct the speedo for the shorter drag radials. John simply installed a canned tune that he's used for other 5.0L's and raised the shift points for her automatic transmission. Otherwise, her 5.0L is 100% bone stock and ran 12.30's @ 114-115 mph all day. That's damn impressive and is making me really think about buying an '11 or '12 5.0L with an automatic.
