From Vorshlag's site, "As with all reclining Corbeau seat, this seat is only sold in pairs. Price for this product entry is for one seat, for easy comparison"
Speaking of Corbeau seats, I have been eyeing these below. Anyone have any experience with them? Seem like they would be a nice...
Sorry for the late reply, I work in a whole different time zone. (Afghanistan)
No, the Ground Control strut body is a shortened version to allow for additional compression stroke after lowering. I cannot get measurements of the strut body at the moment, but I can tell you the springs are 7"...
Just to add to ride height comparison pics in this thread, I was able to achieve a max ride height that is only 1" lower than stock with Ground Control coilovers.
The adjustment collar had to be adjusted all the way flush to the top of the strut body to achieve the height above, but I think...
Loving my B'stone RE-11s. No track impressions yet, but just on the street they are incredible. The grip once warmed up is phenomenal. Road noise is minimal and no tramlining with 275/40R18s up front. Can't wait to try them on the track.
Thanks Norm. The exact answer I was looking for. Heading over to amazon now to make a purchase. Much appreciated.
Edit: Done. I hope to acquire much more suspension knowledge in reading Puhn's book. Sorry to throw this thread a little off topic.
Outstanding! Excellent work. I vote for a sticky of critical damping with various spring rates and Konis here in the corner carving section we can add to in the future. It would be an excellent reference for people wanting a base line with their Koni setup.
Just wish I had some dyno plots and...
Does Puhn's book or any edition of it touch on McPherson strut front suspension and provide formulas or diagrams for that type of suspension? I am thinking it would mostly talk about SLA/multilink given the time period but wanted to ask anyway. Thanks
kcbrown,
Thanks for posting that link to the Roehrig Engineering software. Lots of playing around to do now and a steep learning curve to get past using the software. Cool stuff.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Yes. and I will assume you were making a diagram for the S550 rear suspension and not the front. (because McPherson strut, no upper control arm) I will also assume the motion ration using that formula might change a bit depending on your static camber setting. (cos(q) with McPherson strut)
Pretty cool find. These must have just hit the market not to long ago. It looks like they should have ample clearance for big brakes or Brembo cars, just judging by the photos. I am not sure about the +40 offset and 6.8" back spacing running up front. Just for reference, the SVE drift wheels in...
