    What seats are you running?

From Vorshlag's site, "As with all reclining Corbeau seat, this seat is only sold in pairs. Price for this product entry is for one seat, for easy comparison" Speaking of Corbeau seats, I have been eyeing these below. Anyone have any experience with them? Seem like they would be a nice...

From Koni to bilstein. I've seen the light. Thanks vorshlag!

Sorry for the late reply, I work in a whole different time zone. (Afghanistan) No, the Ground Control strut body is a shortened version to allow for additional compression stroke after lowering. I cannot get measurements of the strut body at the moment, but I can tell you the springs are 7"...

From Koni to bilstein. I've seen the light. Thanks vorshlag!

Just to add to ride height comparison pics in this thread, I was able to achieve a max ride height that is only 1" lower than stock with Ground Control coilovers. The adjustment collar had to be adjusted all the way flush to the top of the strut body to achieve the height above, but I think...

    Tire Size/ Wheel Offset Advice

Same specs as the AMR 18"x10's so they should fit over Brembo's no problem. Tires in picture are 275/40/R18 B'stone RE11's

Tire selection for occasional track day use

Loving my B'stone RE-11s. No track impressions yet, but just on the street they are incredible. The grip once warmed up is phenomenal. Road noise is minimal and no tramlining with 275/40R18s up front. Can't wait to try them on the track.

18x10 AMRs, what tires for best dry traction/price/size? Lowered 06GT

I will be testing this theory on a set of B'stone RE-11's (275/40R18) in about two weeks during GA winter weather.

S550 Mustang Suspension and Powertrain Discussion

Thanks Norm. The exact answer I was looking for. Heading over to amazon now to make a purchase. Much appreciated. Edit: Done. I hope to acquire much more suspension knowledge in reading Puhn's book. Sorry to throw this thread a little off topic.

Koni Sport dampers and Evolution driving school..

Outstanding! Excellent work. I vote for a sticky of critical damping with various spring rates and Konis here in the corner carving section we can add to in the future. It would be an excellent reference for people wanting a base line with their Koni setup. Just wish I had some dyno plots and...

S550 Mustang Suspension and Powertrain Discussion

Does Puhn's book or any edition of it touch on McPherson strut front suspension and provide formulas or diagrams for that type of suspension? I am thinking it would mostly talk about SLA/multilink given the time period but wanted to ask anyway. Thanks

kcbrown, Thanks for posting that link to the Roehrig Engineering software. Lots of playing around to do now and a steep learning curve to get past using the software. Cool stuff. Happy Thanksgiving!

S550 Mustang Suspension and Powertrain Discussion

Yes. and I will assume you were making a diagram for the S550 rear suspension and not the front. (because McPherson strut, no upper control arm) I will also assume the motion ration using that formula might change a bit depending on your static camber setting. (cos(q) with McPherson strut)

    Advanti Racing Hybris

Pretty cool find. These must have just hit the market not to long ago. It looks like they should have ample clearance for big brakes or Brembo cars, just judging by the photos. I am not sure about the +40 offset and 6.8" back spacing running up front. Just for reference, the SVE drift wheels in...

In regards to the above scenario I think no matter what, a watts link could not keep the axle perfectly stabilized when dealing with a single wheel bump. Although it would make a major improvement. I think this is where an IRS rear axle really shines.

I would think they would be the same other than the threaded shaft area like all 05-10 and 11-14 struts are.

Koni Sport dampers and Evolution driving school..

I have noticed this as well, but they do have greater rebound force than the fronts which you later explain. I think your logic here makes perfect sense. I had a hard time believing that the graphs were reversed like initially thought. Your theory makes the excessive rebound damping in the rear...

Great deal on some quality LCA's.

I am assuming this is only an issue once someone adds relocation brackets into the mix. I do not see those dimensions being very far off with the stock axle mounts and fixed LCA's.

Excellent reply. I think you nailed it and expressed our collective thoughts and interests of those who reply in these threads. We like numbers and formulas as it gives us a better understanding of just what we are modifying when we change suspension components around. Plus like you said, it's...

So using these calculations with my own setup, I arrived at 43.48lbs/in-sec front and 27.11lbs/in-sec rear. That's with 430lbs/in front springs and 225lbs/in rear. Now I am going to look back at Whiskey's GC dyno plots (which should be very close to mine) and figure out approximately where I...
