One major thing that TeamZ says keeps the diff's together is welding the tubes properly, and I would agree with probably the leading 60 ft company out there lol...
I'm sure the BMR brace will be amazing quality like my other BMR parts, however I was in a position that I had to act. Just letting my fellow consumers know what options are out there.
Yes you are correct "bolt on's" might not fit extreme use and some don't have the luxury of doing what I did...
So after bending a stock axle at the track (1.5 60) and tired of waiting for other company's to bring theirs too production I called TeamZ.
Come to find out after talking with Dave Jr they didn't make a brace of any kind for a S197, Dave said give me 2 days I'll fab up a brace for you... Well...
Wow that is scary, hope the driver was ok... I'm in this boat right now just bent the stock axles and looking to be proactive.
And time frame on the BMR brace?
Going to the track on pros with 650 at the tire, stick car. I still have the stock DS and was wondering what RPM I can launch (slipping the clutch a bit) and not need a flatbed lol.
Thanks in advance fellas...
I have no dog in the fight but the FB pages are making a lot of vendors wealthy for a reason... Forums are fighting for their life, it's unfortunatet but true. For longevity maybe you guys should be on there promoting this forum instead of secluding it.
With 5.0's price coming down who is gonna privately sell any 05-10... nobody in a decent amount of time for a respectable price. 5.0's can be had for a $400 a month car note.
De-mod it, trade it in, and sell the parts for 5.0 mod money.
REDS197 that pass was money!!! Stock drive shaft? What size pulley were you on, Shaun wont go below 82mm on pump even though I will be on corn I might have to switch to pump for a trip etc...
