Nitrous and Mustang clubs in Denver

Club Clash.... is that going to be a bracket event? If so, I may attend, but I doubt that I'll participate this early in the season. I haven't had a chance to even test my new set up this year. I may run at one of the CSP track events on the 21st or 28th depending on how my scehdule works out...

Nitrous and Mustang clubs in Denver

Does anyone in the area know a good cheap place to fill nitrous bottles in or around Denver, CO? Also, does anyone belong to a Mustang club or decent car club in the area that is looking for new members?

The next step.... FI or nitrous

the only benefit i have is that I live in denver. The altitude here is over 5k feet. So im not sure i'll be able to get up to that number.

The next step.... FI or nitrous

my only concern is with my current mods, if i go SC, will i be pushing the limits of my factory bottom end?

The next step.... FI or nitrous

Ok, so I think I've decided to take the next step. I just need more power. I cant decide between that $3k vortech centrifugal, or a wet nitrous kit. I understand that i'm going to need a good safe dyno tune for either. If I decide on the nitrous, I probably wont go over a 75hp jetting. My...

    As light as possible.....

Ive never insulted anyone on here. I dont see why you cant do the same. I was asking advice on what to remove, not how much anything weighs. If this forum needs less of something, I would go with asses that feel the need to insult people. But thats just my opinion.

    As light as possible.....

Ok. physically my mustang is bone stock, aside from removing the spare tire and jack. What are cheap ways to start stripping weight without sacrificing all the comforts? Ive seen some K members and some radiator support changes, but is there anything that can just be straight up ripped out?

    S197 Exhaust setup

I had BBK long tubes, and a BBK off road X-pipe with the factory mufflers. I think it had an outstanding sound to it, but just not quite loud enough for me. It deffinately had some sound to it though. Very throaty though.

    BBR stage 1 cam shims

This may sound like a stupid question, but I am installing the BBR stage 1 cams. Because they are regrinds, shims are required for install. And I'm not 100% where the shims are supposed to go. Trying to get it done tonight. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cam Install

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. I was hoping to get them installed this weekend, but I think that I will wait til I can get the spring compressor. I was just hoping to speed things up a bit. it's killing me to walk by my table every day and see those cams just lying there.

    Cam Install

Does anyone know if a valve spring compressor is required for the cam install? The little print out that I got from Midas to reference states that it is.

    check engine P0153

Check engine light came on today. Code is P0153. I know its O2 sensor related and i do have long tube headers with an off road X pipe. any idea what the problem may be? is this something for me to be worried about?

    Dyno Tune Vs Mail Order

Yeah, im pretty sure than when you shut down your rear 02 sensors and start messing around with other things like the mail order tunes do when they tune them at sea level, the car can no longer compensate for the lack of oxygen at Colorado altitude. I got a mail order tune from a company in...

    Long tube headers???

I have BBK LT's in ceramic attached to a BBK O/R X. I have 0 complaints. I had to do some cutting on the header flanges to get them installed a bit easier, but i dont have a single leak. over all, i think they are good quality and look outstanding istalled.

    Dyno Tune Vs Mail Order

Ive been told that Stang Auto Tech does good work in Broomfield, but I haven't dealt with them personally.

    Denver Mustangs?

Right now, I have a JLT CAI, Steeda underdrive pulleys, Steeda deleter plates, BBR stage 1 cams, BBK long tube headers, BBK off road X-pipe, 4.10 gears, and SCT X3 tuner. Haven't had a chance to get it over to Bandimere yet, so I have no idea where I'm at ET wise. I am looking to do a 75 hp...

    Denver Mustangs?

Anyone on here from the Denver area or call Bandimere your home track? Just moved to the area from the midwest. Maybe its just because ive been out of the car game for a few years, but Ive noticed that alot more cars up here at altitude are running forced induction rather than nitrous. Almost...

    4.6 3v cam decision

is anyone else running these BBR stage 1 cams?

    4.6 3v cam decision

now this is probably a dumb question, can you run VSR cams with stock valve springs? ........ i know, valve springs REQUIRED, but just a question. would that be just an epic engine fail, or what would the negatives be?

    4.6 3v cam decision

now are your numbers just cams? or have you modified the heads, or used aftermarket heads? and do you have a sound clip? i know that sound is not a reason to go with a cam, but i just would like to hear it. thanks.
  25. MDB919

    4.6 3v cam decision

no, im going to do the install myself and im leaning towards the XFI NSR stage II's because ive been told that they make the best power. i had just never heard them installed before. lots of people have youtube vids of the hot rods and the thumprs.
