my tps went bad and didn't throw a code until the damn thing completely went out but it acted just like yours for 2 weeks and you just have to replace it.
I cant remember how much they cost but there not that bad, I dont know about the smoke thing? I wouldn't thinks so but from starting and dying and over again who knows.
no problems yet after a year of abuse. The tune is really contervative, the place that put mine on has put them on 15-20 mustangs no issues. I called whipple they said only tune related failure was when the installer ordered wrong tune.
light blade was right, it ran just like new this afternoon. it just kept getting better until this afternoon it was as good as new, no lugging. it had to adjust to the new tps sensor just takes a day. thanks guys for the help!
i donno about the filter and I will listen more closley tomorrow, the car was definitely lugging cause it was making the shifter rattle in second, which has never happened before but got better after I reloaded the tune.
