    Lower stock 2008

I think someone was blowing smoke up your butt when they told you your oem struts failed from a stiffer spring rate. Springs absorb the energy of a bump or pothole,Shocks work to dampen the springs natural tendancy to oscillate. In simple terms when you hit a pothole with factory rate...

UMI Performance LCA Relo Bracket Re-Release!!

    Bushing saddles

Mike, If you're bar is 33mm I would avoid running anything that's not advertised to fit 33mm. If you have metric calipers you can measure the true diameter of the bar. Powdercoat build up may be a variance on your Whiteline bar.... 2mm of slop would likely wear that bushing out quickly and...

    WTB Rear LCA's

For lower control arms, no. Adjustable control arms would be used if you wanted to extend your wheelbase to fit a big sticky tire for drag racing, or to fine tune thrust angle. If you lower it, it's a good idea to use a relocation bracket to bring the angle of the control arm back to where...

Clunking Sound While Shifting After Installing BMR UCA & Adj. LCA's!

As you can see from BMR's photo (nice piece by the way, Kelly) that type of double shear mount can be a little more slim than we make ours. If tuning on the diff housing doesn't net you enough clearance you could relieve a bit from the arm as well.

Clunking Sound While Shifting After Installing BMR UCA & Adj. LCA's!

Good morning. Our test car didn't have that nipple on there. We have had some cars which required grinding that nipple off. It doesn't seem to hurt anything for it not to be there and I'm not sure what purpose it serves (perhaps a casting aid or something). As you have noticed, that gap closes...

    adjustable sway bar end links

Sway bar level with ground at ride height is a good place to start. A front bar is usually not preloaded at all. The second bolt should slide right in. If you want to get really accurate, do that with driver in car. On occasion we preload rear anti-roll bars for drag race launch purposes but...

Panhard bar selection help. All seem the same essentially.

It is very strange what the factory does to reduce/eliminate NVH. Cardboard in driveshafts for instance. I once did a test drive stint for Machine Design magazine at the Dana proving grounds. There was a guy there from Nye Lubricants. He had a briefcase with probably 100 viscosities of the...

    Suspension Adjustment Info

I like the tire advice (to use old tires before getting good ones). I spent many years in oval track including asphalt late model. We would practice and tune on old tires. When you'd put stickers on, voila, super car appears. ramey

Hi guys. Looking to get in on the PHB love in this thread. http://www.umiperformance.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=12_129 As mentioned above, an aftermarket adjustable PHB is a great upgrade and a great way to "hold" poly bushings, Roto-Joints or rod ends. Working in this...
