If you Drag Race, PLEASE weld your axle tubes.

Yep, three plugs per side in the "meatiest" parts. Would be a real chore to do with the housing in the car, but probably could be done. You'd want to remove all the guts too, lots of shavings from drilling and tapping. Just drill and tap until the plugs torque down flush.

If you Drag Race, PLEASE weld your axle tubes.

I wasn't able to wait any longer for the new BMR brace, so I went ahead and solved the axle rotation issue at least by improving on the bolt/pinning method described earlier in the thread. I used 3 1/4" Unbrako ASTM-A574 Dry Seal NPT plugs per tube. These are stronger than Gr. 8 hardware...

If you Drag Race, PLEASE weld your axle tubes.

What's happening with this? Is it just part of the Watts link setup?

    piston to valve clearance

If cams are stock, Coyotes are supposedly non-interference engines. Turning it over by hand you'll find out soon enough without risking damage. Should also be able to pull the trans and leave the converter on the flexplate. Little messy though.

do you remove your cats ?

For after-cat X's I've read the most complaints about the FRPP. These are making me consider the Corsa version, which is more money, but fittment is supposed to be good and it includes the clamps. These along with the even more expensive JPC are the only choices that keep everything 2 3/4"...

do you remove your cats ?

Anyone try the new stainless mid-pipes from Lethal/JBA that have removable cat delete sections? They might be a good solution for the price. If it's too loud, swap the factory cats back in. I'd like to hear in there's any fittment/leak issues with them first though.

    2011 Workshop Manual

Manual referenced above says: P-plate - stage #1: 35 lbs.-ft. stage #2: +60 degrees F-wheel - stage #1: 177 lbs.-in. (15 lbs.-ft.) stage #2: +60 degrees You have to go to the indvidual repair sections to find these. Not sure why they aren't in the tables.

Anyone running the Edelbrock E-force kit on 2011-12?

Thanks for the info and for creating this thread. Hope to see more input from others going the E-Force route as well.

Anyone running the Edelbrock E-force kit on 2011-12?

What do you have for mufflers? I'm planning on keeping the stockers, and don't want loud, just wan't to let it breathe and not worry about cat problems. If the 15880 can be had for under 6G I might go that route, otherwise I think a 1589 can be pieced together cheaper. I'd like to keep the...

Anyone running the Edelbrock E-force kit on 2011-12?

Nice to hear good things about the E-Force. They don't seem to be as popular as some of the other kits, at least not yet. I think it's easily the best set-up for a stock motor. Anybody see a price advertised for the 15880 kit? This is the same as the 1588 street legal model, but...

MT82 Problems - Fixed by Ford

Sure. The car doesn't know the difference... BTW, I'm not talking about people off the street. Old friends (drag racers/mechanics) that I think can drive better than I can.

MT82 Problems - Fixed by Ford

My car shifts great, two fingers, if I drive normal. Only have about 2500 miles on it. It was clunky going into second sometimes, before skip-shift elimination via a tune. I feel a slight synchro crunch going into second and third sometimes when it's cold, but nothing audible. I consider...

2011 shifter from mgw close to completion...some specs and info>>

Thanks Ducky. I've read the whole thread over a few times. I was mainly referring to the questions I asked earlier about the boot/knob/lever. We were promissed pics a few weeks back. If the shifters are now in production and are "95-99% right", the pictures should not resemble a "cobbed...

    closed vs open hood dyno/tuning

I've never attended a dyno session either but if the point is to compare CAIs I think you should run hood closed. Otherwise it doesn't matter as long as you are comparing apples to apples.

2011 shifter from mgw close to completion...some specs and info>>

Thanks for the honest update George. I'll wait to grab one once regular production starts. Can you tell me if this unit can use the stock boot and knob as the others? Will your shifter include its own knob?

    2011 TSB Thread

If you're not experiencing problems, would the fluid change still be recommended as prevention? Strange that the original fluid is working fine in some and not in others. I suspect there is still the clutch issue causing shifting problems too. Interesting.

Just ordered Boss intake.. Best place for tune?

Would be nice to see a separate 5.0 4V section at least. The threads that get moved from tech seem to get lost in chat with all the 4.6 stuff. Not hating on the 4.6, just there are alot of us around these days only interested in the new 5.0 stuff. My opinion, whilst we're bichin'.
