12v wire in the doors, only when locked/unlocked or until door opened

That only works when the door is unlocked and works until the door is opened or relocked? Need to wire my mirrors and I don't know how to get a wire from the door, into the car. IF there is already one inside the door. That would be awesome. Thanks in advance

Its not too clear, but are you wiring up some mirror puddle lights? I think I would tap into the dome light wiring. When you unlock the car, the interior dome lights light up, and turn off when you lock or start the car. Getting a wire through the door jamb is a pain in the butt, but I'm sure there's a tech article in this forum somewhere. You can tap the dome light wire on the passenger side, either in the a-pillar or behind the smart junction box. Find some instructions for the illuminated door sills (try CDC's site), & those will help you w/ the dome light wiring.

yes. i was hoping though there was a wire in the door. lol. I got a wire through the passenger side door harness. Just haven't finished wiring it up yet.
