Five Oh Brian
Mustang Guru
You are doing great Brian! IIRC this car is going faster than your 07 did with a non intercooled supercharger. You seem to be able to get every last bit out of a car in the quarter mile.
Your wife is right IMO. Buy the vehicle with the options you want and you won't want to trade it off. I haven't traded or sold a vehicle in about 4 years. The reason for that is by getting the options I want and not having remorse about what I didn't get.
One of these days I'll make it out to Bremerton on a Friday afternoon.
Hey, Bruce. Haven't seen you at the track in a long time. Hope you can get out to Bremerton sometime. I plan on going on the 27th for some test n tune. You're correct that this '14 GT is faster than my '07 was. The '07 ran a best of 11.79 @ 114, but usually ran low 12's as the non-intercooled Vortech would heat soak badly. I can hotlap the '14 and stay in the 11's, and it's gone over 116 through the traps a few times (and a bunch of 115's).
You are so right that getting what you want instead of compromising is the key to long term happiness and actually saves money in the long run, since it keeps you out of the trade-in cycle.
