1st time at 1000 ft times

Hey guys tool the car to centerville drag strip for first time. Only mod is a c n l intake no with stock exhaust and nothin running after the mid pipe. I did better than I expected but I'll let u guys decide. I have on nt555 extremes. Oh yea I spanked a 2010 camaro ss

That's an great time for those mods! I ran a 10.62@102 mph at Centerville with full bolt on's and cams, though my 60 ft was 2.1.

Damn, your car picks up a lot from the 1/8 (660) to 1000'. With an 8.6 60' most drivers are only at low 11s at the 1000' mark. At the track on Friday my 1/8 was 8.4 to 8.5 yet my 1000' 11.1 to 11.0.

I run about the same, but I have more mods. I have an 11.00 1000' but my 60' is in the 1.93 range. I run Eagle F1 A/S tires. You should be in the high 1.8s or low 1.9s with "real" tires.

I think you need to melt down the tires more and find a groove. I'm not so sure about Centerville because I rarely get to AR.

If you know or can hunt down Joey Koch Jr., ask him to give you some info on that track. He's got a built Fox body and has been running Centerville for years.

Good runs though, knowing you have a lot of mods to go.

Yours pulls damn hard. Have you looked at the 1/4 mile ranking list? If not take a look at the N/A or all motor list. Ever car car that pulls a 8.6 1/8 mile is usually a 11.2 or so 1000'

Good times man! I went 10.86 at 96.65 with a bbk intake, diablo 93 tune and o/r x at centerville.

I go 10.38 @ 99.5 now with above and spec stage 1 clutch, fidanza aluminum fly, bbk lt headers, and some 26x10.5x16 E/T streets

8.11 @ 87.5 1/8th
