My good friend just got a 2011 GT500 last night, and I wanted to know if anyone has any personal experience with lowering springs and how they like them. He was looking for something maybe a little higher spring rate than stock but around the stock spring rates to bring it down about an inch or so.

Does your friend have the SVT PP? If so that totally changes the game for handling mods.

Johnny, that car sure is sharp looking.

Stang389, we have quite a few customers running our springs on their Shelbys.

And they are very pleased with them.

I'm hitting up BMR once I get suspension money together. I know with the 5.4 swap, my Roush suspension is gonna be horrible.

There was quite a few suspension changes from 07-09 to 2010 and then more changes to 2011. The earlier car suspension packages I am not convinced will work or give a tangible improvement on a 2011 Track Pack GT500.

Even though the components themselves are different, they'll almost all interchange throughout the years. The suspension is improved on the '11, but they still need to be lowered, and adjustable shocks all around make a big difference.

We put the FRPP M-5300-L lowering springs on an '11 and it really turned out killer. Unfortunately the car sold before I could get any pics of it. These springs firm up the ride a bit, but it's not harsh at all, and like mentioned, it's how they should have come from Ford anyway.

He is considering the L springs, was this a 2011 SVTPP GT500?
