Is is safe to run 275/40-18 tires on the stock 18x8.5" wheels. I see most tire manufacturers recommend a 18x9" wheel or wider for that combination. However when I saw a set moounted on 18x9" wheels, they didn't look like the tires were on rims that were that narrow.

Would 1/2" in wheel width make a whole lot of difference? What is the widest tires that we should run on the stock 18x8.5" wheels if 275 width tires are too wide?

What PSI should you normally run with this setup? How do they wear?

Any more pics?
